Delta Devils Cruise Past Bulldogs

Mustangs look to pull off upset

Amanda Elzy High School begins its postseason trek on Friday, facing Noxubee County in Macon in the first round of the North 3A playoffs.
After last week’s 32-16 loss to Humphreys County, the Panthers finished the regular season 5-5 overall and 2-2 in Region 3 games, earning the No. 3 seed in the playoff standings.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
