Hill View Baptist group goes on mission trip to Mexico

Four members of Hill View Baptist Church spent a week recently on a mission trip in which they provided construction repairs to la Iglesia Bautista de la Divino Gracia, a Baptist church plant in Matamoros, Mexico, as well as health services for the community there.

Children learn about importance of recycling

Children from the summer camp at St. John’s United Methodist Church learned about the importance of recycling at a tour of Greenwood-Leflore Recycling Center.
“The kids asked a lot of questions,” said Darwin Greene, the facility’s recycling coordinator, who led the tour Wednesday morning.
