Main St. executive director to step down

Brantley Snipes, Main Street Greenwood’s executive director, will step down from that position at the end of the year.
Snipes, who is in her 11th year as the nonprofit’s director, said Wednesday she has given all she can give to the downtown development organization.

Roundtable discussion for veterans, dependents set Monday

No quorum, no action at supervisors’ budget meeting

No action was taken Monday during a county budget meeting because of the lack of a quorum.
District 4’s Eric Mitchell and District 5’s Robert Collins were the only two of the county’s five supervisors who showed up to the courthouse to continue working on the county’s 2023-2024 budget.
