The Greenwood Election Commission will hear the appeal of a disqualified City Council candidate next week.
Charles “Mo” Powers, a member of the commission, said Thursday that the candidacy of Lavoris Weathers, an independent running for the Ward 5 seat, was disqualified due to issues with his qualifying petition.
