3-year-old killed in accidental shooting

A 3-year-old child was killed Saturday night after he apparently accidentally shot himself.

Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said Keldrick Duncan was pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m. at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He had suffered a single gunshot wound.

Mayoral race, 2 City Council seats on ballot

Three Greenwood mayoral candidates have yet to submit campaign finance reports to the City Clerk’s Office as required by law.

Liddell says he has experience to be mayor

Lamar Liddell says he will apply his decades of experience in the federal workforce to the Greenwood mayor’s office if elected.
“I’ve got the experience. I’ve got the leadership. And I’ve done the work to warrant being your next mayor,” Liddell said.
