Derrick Simpson, the manager of Greenwood Market Place, will be honored with a key to the city on Friday.
The ceremony, scheduled for 2 p.m. at the store, will also include an unveiling for the newly named Simpson Street, the alley located behind Market Place.
Simpson, 54, said the news left him a bit “lost for words.”
