Stronger state laws are needed to assist cities like Greenwood with dilapidated housing, says Mayor Carolyn McAdams.
“If you own a piece of property, the owner should be responsible for it,” she said.
The city is often left to foot the bill on cleaning up or removing pieces of property that blight neighborhoods.
