Prep hoops: Pillow girls cruise past Washington for 6th win in a row

Senior guard Sarah Presley Howard scored 24 points, dished out four assists and totaled four steals to lift the Pillow Academy girls basketball team to a 68-45 victory Wednesday over visiting Washington School on Senior Night.
The win marked the sixth in a row for the Lady Mustangs (21-4).

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
