HOOVER, Ala. - Paul Maholm and Chris Young combined to shut down hot-hitting LSU, pitching Mississippi State to a 4-1 victory in the Southeastern Conference tournament championship game on Sunday.
The win ended the Tigers' 16-game postseason winning streak, seven-game SEC tournament streak and a nearly flawless run.
