Mayor says he loves the city, will put its people first

Greenwood Mayor Kenderick Cox says he loves his hometown.
“I was born and raised right here in Greenwood. When I say I love Greenwood, I love Greenwood to the T, and the true essence of me and who I am and what I’m about is defined by the city of Greenwood,” said Cox, who spoke to the members of the Greenwood Rotary Club Wednesday.

Council approves budget

The Greenwood City Council unanimously approved the city’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
The council adopted a budget similar to the current year’s budget, which does not include a tax increase or any major changes.
