Get ready for drama, glitter, glam, musical performances and a whole lot of laughs when Greenwood Little Theatre presents “Glitz! The Little Miss Christmas Pageant Musical.”
Directed by David Dallas, this family-friendly Christmas musical will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 at Davis Auditorium.

Singing Christmas Tree: Church to present Greenwood Christmas tradition Monday

A beloved Greenwood Christmas tradition will return for its 42nd year.
First Presbyterian Church will present the annual Singing Christmas Tree at 7 p.m. Monday. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the parking lot across from the church at the corner of Main and Washington streets.

The Museum of the Mississippi Delta is preparing to present “Van Gogh for All,” an interactive traveling exhibit that focuses on one of the most famous artists in history, Vincent van Gogh. Museum to present ‘Van Gogh for All’

The Museum of the Mississippi Delta will present an interactive, large-scale exhibit about the famous Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh.
“Van Gogh for All” will open on Friday and run through the end of February.

Local news matters to Greenwood. It keeps the people informed and connected. It asks the questions they want answered. It elevates what’s good, and it exposes what’s not.

To do that work well takes skilled reporters and editors, as many as a community can support through advertising, subscriptions and philanthropy.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
