Pillow senior play probes fairy tales

The Pillow Academy senior class will unravel a mystery on stage as mythical characters in their upcoming production of “CSI: Neverland.”

The play will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday at the Craig Performing Arts Center, located on Pillow’s campus. Admission is $6 per person and can be paid at the door.

Revitalizing the Blues

The Mississippi Delta is known for producing the blues and musical legends such as Robert Johnson, B.B. King and Mississippi John Hurt.

Although at one time its unique sound could be heard frequently in Greenwood-area juke joints and get-togethers, the city, as of late, has been in a drought.

To do that work well takes skilled reporters and editors, as many as a community can support through advertising, subscriptions and philanthropy.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
