Stuckey Family Dentistry to hold Candy Buyback

Stuckey Family Dentistry will hold its annual Halloween Candy Buyback Program.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the dentistry office, located at 912 Medallion Drive.
Dr. Ward Stuckey started the program in 2016 to allow children to earn cash for their leftover Halloween candy for a good cause.

‘Just Dance’: Dance group to perform at Ms. Senior World Pageant

A group of Greenwood dancers who meet twice a week at Twin Rivers Recreation for “Just Dance” class has been promoted.

“We’re not ‘Just Dancers’ anymore; we’re ‘Senior World Dancers,’” said member Ann Ellis.

To do that work well takes skilled reporters and editors, as many as a community can support through advertising, subscriptions and philanthropy.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
