Education was a big part of John Lewis Waters Sr.’s life.
A retired Amanda Elzy High School social studies teacher with more than 30 years of classroom experience, Mr. Waters died of heart failure Sunday. He was 64.
Services for Mr. Waters will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jennings Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
