The Mississippi Highway Patrol’s Troop D, located in Greenwood, is short on troopers, but it’s not “at a crucial level” in terms of fulfilling its mission, according to a troop official.
“We are kind of down in our numbers. We could use several guys,” said Trooper Tony Dunn, Troop D’s public affairs officer.
