Greenwood businessman William “W.G.” Mize Jr. wore a lot of hats during his lifetime.
He was an outstanding college baseball player, a Purple Heart veteran of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, founder of a successful insurance agency, co-founder of Short Street Realty and a former Greenwood street commissioner.
