Preston Ratliff said Tuesday that he took “a quiet approach” to campaigning for the District 3 seat on the Leflore County Election Commission.
It worked; the Democrat and former county supervisor received 1,122 votes, or 63 percent, compared to 671, or 37 percent, for Schlater resident Bernard Tolbert, based on unofficial returns.
