With cold weather about to set in, the Leflore County winter wheat crop is looking good, according to county Extension Agent Jerry Singleton.
“It’s been typical for this time of year. It’s been warm and growing,” he said.
Singleton said 16,000 acres of winter wheat were planted in Leflore County in 2011.
