Last-minute shoppers flocked to stores Monday in an effort to buy gifts for family and friends.
According to Emmitt Riley of Itta Bena, the rushed shopping at J.C. Penney wasn’t part of some grand design.
“We have a sick family member in the hospital, and we’re filling in. We normally don’t wait till the last minute,” he said.
