The Greenwood City Council, in a 4-2 vote Tuesday, approved increasing council members’ salaries by more than 22 percent beginning in July.
Council members currently receive $13,440 in salary. Under the new schedule, those who are in office beginning with the new term in July will receive $16,500 per year.
