September’s dry spell is proving to be a boon for soybean farmers as the harvest gets started.
Jerry Singleton, an agent with the Leflore County Extension Service, estimated that at most 15 percent of the county’s soybeans had been harvested as of Monday.
“We’re off to a good start,” he said.
