Greenwood-Leflore Recycling would like to expand its efforts into outlying communities and even neighboring counties.
It has applied for a grant of up to $400,000 to pay for this expansion as well as a pilot program on curbside recycling in Greenwood, according to Anne Marie Kornelis, the recycling center’s coordinator.
