The Itta Bena Board of Aldermen, facing a federal tax lien of more than $200,000 and mounting unpaid bills, has placed City Clerk LaCheronda Spivey on probation for a year.
Spivey, who has served as clerk for eight years, receives a salary of $32,000 a year.
