BalloonFest 2004 officials are optimistic about the weather for the festival, which starts at 6 p.m. Thursday with a Battle of the Bands in Whittington Park.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday should clear off late in the day. No rain is expected for Thursday evening.
