The manager of Greenwood Market Place says a proposed merger involving his store's parent company would benefit employees and customers.
Food Giant Corp., the parent company of Market Place as well as two Big Star stores in Leflore County, is negotiating to merge with Houchens Industries, a company based in Bowling Green, Ky.
