Knock on wood. As of Saturday afternoon, there have been no homicides recorded in the city of Greenwood for all of 2017.
That’s a dramatic improvement over 2016, when the city saw 10 of its citizens killed at the hands of someone else.
In Leflore County, where five homicides occurred in 2016, there have been three in 2017.
