Broom murder trial begins

Prosecution and defense attorneys delivered opening arguments on Tuesday in the murder trial of a Greenwood man accused in the 2014 death of his wife.

Edward Broom is charged in the Sept. 21, 2014, death of Lakeyla Broom, who was stabbed as many as 80 times. Police found her when they responded to a 911 call early that morning.

Drive down Howard Street on Monday, following the weekend, and that tire might have multiplied to three or four. Or five or six.
