Mikko Saikku of Helsinki, Finland, was in Greenwood Friday discussing his doctoral research and the resulting book, “This Delta, This Land,” an environmental history of the Yazoo-Mississippi floodplain. Saikku’s book grew out of a fascination with Mississippi and his training as an environmental historian.
