The project to overlay Park Avenue began Tuesday, limiting traffic to the two outside lanes. Road workers tore up the two middle lanes and began replacing the old surface with fresh asphalt. J.J. Ferguson, which has a contract with the city of Greenwood for the project, plans to complete construction on the road by May 13.
