Greenwood is part of a growing trend among Mississippi cities to collect back fines through amnesty programs. In February, Greenwood began offering amnesty to people who owe fines for misdemeanor offenses. Until April 1, you can go in and pay your fine or make payment arrangement and you won’t have to pay penalties.
