HATTIESBURG - The University of Southern Mississippi isn't even close to topping anybody's list of the largest college campuses in the nation.
Put another way, USM's fall enrollment of 16,662 students is just shy of being one-third as big as that of the University of Texas, the nation's largest single campus.
