White not wanting to wait ‘my turn’

Greenwood Leflore Hospital to close Wound Care Center Jan. 2

Greenwood Leflore Hospital is closing its wound care clinic, citing low patient volumes and the end of a partnership that supplied some of the clinic’s medical providers.
The Wound Care Center, which is housed on a first-floor wing of the hospital, will close Jan. 2.

Hospital hires new general surgeon

Greenwood Leflore Hospital has a new general surgeon.
Dr. Kendrix Evans began seeing patients this week, filling the void left by the death of Dr. Ray Girnys in September.
“We’re just really fortunate to have him on board, particularly with the passing of Dr. Girnys,” said Gary Marchand, the hospital’s interim CEO.
