No one argues the fact that Jonathan McClellan was holding the .270 caliber hunting rifle that killed Ethel Heard in the early morning of Nov. 25, 2006.
But a Leflore County jury must decide whether Heard’s death was the result of McClellan having a “depraved heart” or a drunken accident that ended in tragedy.
