The Tallahatchie River bridge, named the Ashwood Bridge when it was opened in 1954, spans the river between Grand Boulevard and Money Road in Greenwood. But did that metal bridge inspire "Ode to Billie Joe," her 1967 hit? That's not certain. (By Tim Kalich, Copyright 2024 Emmerich Newspapers, Inc.)
