JACKSON - The director of Medicaid says the agency is operating without a shortfall for the first time in two years.
Rica Lewis-Payton told legislative budget writers on Tuesday that federal funds helped Medicaid wipe out the $90.2 million shortfall it was facing in the current fiscal year.
