Board rescinds transfer change

CARROLLTON — Carroll County parents whose children have releases to attend school elsewhere won’t have to get reapproval for the upcoming year after all.

The school board unanimously voted Friday to rescind an order it passed earlier in the week that had revised its student transfer policy.

New faces, old ones in new places at CA

CARROLLTON — Walls and doors are getting fresh coats of paint, and floors are waxed and shiny for students coming into Carroll Academy for the 2012-2013 school year.

School will begin Aug. 9 and will dismiss at 11:30 that day. The first full day will be Aug. 10.

NORTH CARROLLTON – In a move to try to bring back Carroll County students who are attending neighboring school districts, the Carroll County School Board rescinded all previous student releases Tuesday in passing a new release policy.

Schools get same budget as last year

NORTH CARROLLTON – Without much fanfare, the Carroll County Board of Education approved a new budget at Tuesday evening’s second special meeting of July.

Jim Strong made a motion to give the district $1,852,620 in local property tax funds, the same amount it had in 2011-2012.
