County to use collection agency to recover fines

CARROLLTON — In an attempt to collect $500,000 in outstanding fines owed to Carroll County’s Justice Court, the county’s Board of Supervisors has agreed again to give a private firm a crack at it.

Monday, the supervisors, by a 4-to-1 vote, hired American Municipal Services of Carrollton, Texas.

Business manager gets raise

The Carroll County School Board voted Thursday to give Mimi Alldread, the district’s business manager, a raise of $6,000 a year.

The move increases Alldread’s annual pay from $48,000 to $54,000.
