Part of Vaiden water supply still off today

VAIDEN — Part of the city of Vaiden’s water supply was still off this morning while waiting for water sampling, according to K.T. Newman of Utility Contractors of Canton.

One of two water towers was cut off Sunday after a man climbed the tower and threatened to jump.

NORTH CARROLLTON — The former owner of Greenwood restaurant MeMe’s is back in the food business with a new restaurant, The Britshire Fine Dining.

The restaurant is in a corner building in North Carrollton next to Sanders Grocery that was formerly a fish and steak house.

Stolen goods, cash found in Carroll Co.

CARROLLTON — The Carroll County Sheriff's Department confiscated more than $120,000 in cash and about $50,000 in stolen goods recently after arresting three men in connection with the theft of more than $100,000 in property.
