Potluck dinners mean a variety of good food, fond memories

A potluck dinner is described as a meal where all attendees bring a dish and everyone is able to try all the dishes.
These are frequent at offices and churches. One of my favorite things about our church here at Cruger Independent Methodist is the memory of the dinners we have had in the past.

Music is defined as vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Classical music has proven to make plants grow faster. Loud music in bars makes customers drink more alcohol in less time. Cows even produce more milk when listening to relaxing music.

Using Pam cooking spray for more than cooking, baking

In my kitchen pantry, there are several items I never run out of. Pam cooking spray is one of them. I also make sure I have the Pam baking spray with flour for baking. So much easier than greasing and flouring your cake pan. I always got more flour on me than I did in the pan.

Local news matters to Greenwood. It keeps the people informed and connected. It asks the questions they want answered. It elevates what’s good, and it exposes what’s not.

To do that work well takes skilled reporters and editors, as many as a community can support through advertising, subscriptions and philanthropy.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
