Main Street Greenwood has been awarded a $4,100 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission, an organization dedicated to promoting the arts.
Brantley Snipes, executive director for Main Street Greenwood, said the grant will be used to hire more musicians for ’Que on the Yazoo, the annual barbecue competition held in May.
