The Greenwood City Council approved Tuesday a 4.1 percent tax increase, from 48.26 mills to 50.26 mills.
However, since a countywide reappraisal has also increased property values, the effective tax increase is 7.4 percent. The city went from a value of $105 million to $109 million.
