Juneteenth, a holiday that represents the day that slaves were first informed that they were free from slavery, will be celebrated in Itta Bena’s city park for the second year in a row.
The 2016 celebration on Saturday will last from 10 a.m. to dusk and marks 151 years since slaves were truly freed.
