Deputies seize gaming machines

The Leflore County Sheriff’s Department confiscated 13 illegal gaming machines Tuesday night in a home off Grenada Boulevard.

Curtis George Williams, 53, 513 E. Washington St., was charged with possession of illegal gambling machines and released on bond.

Peanut warehouse nears finish

It won’t be long before peanuts start arriving in the Greenwood-Leflore Industrial Park.

A peanut warehouse being built for the Oklahoma-based Clint Williams Co. is nearly finished, Leflore County Chancery Clerk Sam Abraham told the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

Board OKs $26M budget
