Three Pillow Academy teams place 2nd in Cleveland meet

The Pillow Academy varsity girls, junior high girls and junior high boys all placed second in their respective divisions at the Bayou Academy Invitational track meet Wednesday in Cleveland.
The varsity Lady Mustangs had 148 1/2 team points, which trailed first-place Bayou’s 156 points. Washington School was third with 115 1/2 points.

Reid Blaylock (1-3) got the win on the mound as he went four innings, allowing both runs on six hits, striking out three.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
