Prep Roundup: PA girls finish second at invite

The Pillow Academy girls cross-country team placed second overall at the Hickory Flat High School Invitational at Blue Mountain College Saturday.
The Lady Mustangs had five runners place in the Top 20 of the event, which was a 5K race. Freshmen Emma Beckwith and Mary Laine Dyksterhouse were third and fourth, respectively.

Bulldogs get stung by Hornets; Jaguars now 2-1

Greenwood High School let a five-point halftime lead slip through its fingers as Greenville High School claimed a 33-12 victory Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.
Greenwood (1-2) led 12-7 at the half, but the Hornets took a 15-12 lead after the third period and tacked on three touchdowns in the fourth frame.

Mustangs, Lions soar to huge wins

Pillow Academy got off to a soaring start in District 1-5A play with a 28-20 win over Heritage Academy Friday night in Columbus.
The Mustangs held a slim 14-13 lead after the first frame but tacked on a touchdown each in the second and third quarters to lead 28-13 heading to the final period.
