The J.Z. George High School girls and boys teams pulled off a sweep of Winona High School Thursday night in North Carrollton.
The Lady Jags upped their record to 1-2 with a hard-fought 41-33 win over the Lady Tigers (1-3).
“They come ready to work in practice, and it shows in the games,” said coach DeJuan Clark.

Prep Roundup: Pillow’s hoops fall to Leake; CA boys and girls defeat Indianola

Pillow Academy’s Lady Mustangs fell to 2-3 on the season with a 54-37 setback to rival Leake Academy Tuesday night at Pillow.
Pillow led 16-9 after the first, but Leake outscored the Lady Mustangs 20-3 in the second for a 29-19 lead at the half. Leake held a 37-26 advantage headed to the fourth period.
