The Leflore County Community Work Center on Baldwin Road in Greenwood is one of 17 such state-run facilities in Mississippi. Under a controversial proposal by state Corrections Commissioner Marshall Fisher, state inmates in work programs at 30 county jails would be moved to the state-run work centers.
