Dr. Arnold Smith continues to undergo psychiatric evaluation to determine his competency to stand trial, but his defense team is preparing an insanity defense in the criminal case against him.
Smith is charged in an unsuccessful murder-for-hire plot that allegedly targeted Greenwood attorney Lee Abraham last year.
