A Greenwood police officer fired his weapon in an attempt to end a wild, lengthy high-speed chase that wound through much of the city Sept. 9.
The early morning chase, which ended at around 3:30 at the intersection of Linden Avenue and U.S. 82, lasted about 40 minutes, according to Greenwood Police Chief Ray Moore.
