The Lady Patriots of Madison-Ridgeland Academy avenged two earlier losses to Pillow Academy with a 41-37 win at PA Thursday night.

PA (16-9) trailed 15-13 at the half and was outscored 18-11 in the third quarter as it suffered its third straight loss.

Champion duck caller

Windie Reaves has been making “sweet music” with his duck call for more than 50 years.

The 66-year-old Greenwood man was first introduced to the art of calling ducks at an early age by his father, Abner Reaves, an avid duck hunter.
